Kings of War vs Warhammer?

While there are obvious comparisons between KoW and Warhammer Fantasy Battle there are many points to seperate the two. Like WHFB, KoW is a rank and file fantasy wargame, often played on a 6ft by 4ft table. Both have fantasy units like Dwarves, orcs, goblins and rat men. BUT one of the big differences is that Kings Of War units are mostly multibased, and instead of single models being removed when the unit takes casualties the whole base is left in play and the unit’s overall health has been reduced.

Multibasing of Mantic Models allows for some awesome Diorama potential and also the strict model count does not have to be adhered to for a set base size, allowing for some awesome artistic units.

Also multi basing allows for simplicity and ease of deploying and packing away models.

Mantic’s main ethos on the models is to make gaming affordable, so the price difference between their and other producers’ miniatures (Metal, hard plastic or resin) can be quite marked.
